DJ Booth.Net "Rollingstone" Video Review

Written by Lucas G. As The Temptations told us on their definitive 1972 rendition of the Motown standard, their Papa Was a Rolling Stone whose penchant for liquor and womanizing pulled him away from the family home (and eventually into an early grave). While Nino Augustine is a Rolling Stone as well, there is one main difference: he would love nothing more than to go back home but, unfortunately, duty calls. Board magician Keith “Smoov” Conover lives up to his name, piecing Vincent Troyani‘s sax and James Dellatoma’s guitar together to form a jazzy, light instrumental. Atop the skilfully-arranged beat, Augustine impresses with a genuine, unique performance, showcasing both his refreshing flow and his smooth singing voice. You can find this and much more on Nino’s forthcoming album, From the Bottom of My Soul, which drops next week.
